Not sure you have it in your links but the best thing to come to Ubuntu 23.04 lunar lobster is Azure AD authentication. A much requested feature that Canonical are even backporting to 22.?
Not as slick as adding to Active Directory and I believe you still require a Azure AD P1 or P2 license or Microsoft 365 E3 or E5 for it to work as you need to add the integration as a enterprise app in Azure AD.
